About Us

The Roxymorrons came out of obscurity in the late quarter of 2006. Most of the members came from a grunge band called Citric Maple. The band consists of Kiko on drums, Red on bass, Roxy on guitar and backing vocals vocals and Dorkster on vocals and guitars.

The Roxymorrons is an independent band carrying with them that indie rock sound that is prominent with bands like Bloc Party, Franz Ferdinand and Death Cab For Cutie. There are also the influences of Radiohead and Echo and the Bunnymen prominent in their songs.

As for the members, all of them have jobs. Kiko indulges himself in the fine art of skateboarding and works for a telecommunications company. Red works in bank and delves into a lot of punk and new wave music. Dorkster is a visual artist and a writer. Roxy works in a call center and likes to fiddle on her guitars.

The Roxymorrons is a band that revels in their own music, is proud of what they have created as a band and loves to let people listen to their song. Music is life; life is music, and this saying adheres to their philosophy as a band. They live music and what they have today is a far cry from when they started years ago with the different bands they have been involve with.

Down the line, the band is about who they are and what their music is all about. The music and the performance is what matters most. They have been in the music scene for some time now and will remain there until they can’t play anymore. It’s all about having fun, hard work and patience. They dream the dream and live the life. “The Roxymorrons is a bonding of friends,” says Dorkster, “with the versatility of imaginings and daydreams, with a wisp of being a person that sees life and love with gratitude and respect. These are the values in the songs that we make. We sing life, and that is our music.”
